Blessed Matrona of Moscow is one of the most revered saints in Moscow. Matrona Moskovskaya (Nikonova) was born in the Tula province at the end of the 19th century blind and her mother wanted to leave her in an orphanage, but she had a prophetic dream about a beautiful but blind bird, and she decided to take the child home, foreshadowing a great future for her daughter. Already from childhood, Matrona could heal people, they came to her with all their sorrows and she did not refuse anyone. She predicted a revolution and the forced renunciation of many people from the church. The grave of the Blessed Matrona at the Danilovsky cemetery has become a place of pilgrimage. Now her ashes rest in the Pokrovsky convent in Moscow, believers constantly come to the relics and icon of the Holy Matrona of Moscow with flowers and requests for help.
