With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus'.
This book was formed from many sources as one got used to the prayer structure of the Church, into the experience of confessorship and pastoral counseling.
The direct material for this collection was the conversations of the archimandrite John (Krestyankina), which were held in the seventies in the Pskov-Caves Monastery during the first week of Great Lent, after reading the penitential canon of St. Andrew of Crete. Many remember those evenings of tremulous repentant standing before the living and near God and their own conscience, they remember the accusing and healing word of pastoral edification.
