In Russia, the attitude of Orthodox people towards the Athonite is reminiscent of love for his compatriot, God-pleaser Nicholas. Who else knew how (and it would be better to say about God's ascetic: he knows how) to speak to modern man in this way, to understand his infirmities in this way? Everyone knows that Elder Paisios is a saint. But his name has not yet been included in the Orthodox calendars. Or do we not trust the joy that seizes us at the mere mention of him? In order to approach the general church glorification of the monk, we dedicate our book to his memory, with a prayer appeal: Reverend Father Paisios, pray to God for us.
