The photo album reflects the life of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra - the greatest shrine of Orthodoxy. For the first time, after many years of silence, an album has been prepared about the Lavra as a monastery, a spiritual treasury and a school of piety, and not a “museum repository” that has walls and exhibits, but no spirit, no life.
The album consists of four sections. The first section is an excursion into the history of the monastery. The second is dedicated to the Lavra caves. The third, the most voluminous one, reflects today's life of the Lavra and its inhabitants. This section is built according to the church calendar - from September to August. The first feast, which opens the third section, is the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, and it ends with the Assumption of the Mother of God - the patronal feast of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. The last section contains photographs of the main shrines of the Lavra.
